I grew up in Alaska. As a result, natural beauty is something that has always given me the warm and fuzzies.

Now, living in Seattle WA, I am still surrounded by those elements that have given me comfort while growing up. Lakes, rivers and mountains recharge my soul even as I live in a metropolitan setting.

Now, in that urban setting, I can take in all the things that make a city worth living in, while being able to get out into nature with the minimal of preparation.

mission

The overriding principle of my work is much like riding a bicycle. If the bike fits well and is designed to do what you want it to, you won't even notice the bike itself - just the ride.

And with any good ride, it's not about the "getting there", it's about Getting There. Simply put, it's not the destination so much as the journey that makes it memorable.

For web design, that means making the interface fade into the background so that the user doesn't think about anything except where they want to go next, and letting them get there instinctively.
